East West Homes has made buying a new house easy and pleasurable with award winning designs such as the Drysdale and Seachange, which have received two Housing Industry Association awards this year. These family-friendly designs are on display at Westbourne Fields estate in Truganina and Brimbank Gardens estate in Derrimut. The Drysdale has a flexible layout that will fit on blocks as narrow as 13.5metres. HIA acting executive director Robert Harding said the Drysdale won an award for a number of reasons. ‘‘The things that the judges look at are workmanship, the design itself, and they rated the design of that house very highly. ‘‘The energy efficiency, affordability and value for money are very important aspects of that award.’’ The Drysdale comes in eight sizes ranging from 21 to 29 squares, with a variety of facades and finishes. Price starts at $156,500. East West Homes director Jim Clifford, who has been building homes in the west for 17 years, said as well as great designs, the company was dedicated to helping homebuyers understand the building process. ‘‘If clients want to change the plans, that’s OK. Clients really appreciate being able to change the plans.’’
